The Worcester Public Schools offer a wide variety of athletic activities for elementary, middle, and secondary students. Both boys and girls have an equal opportunity to participate.

The School Safety Office and the Department of Athletics along with other organizations support and sponsor the Pledge to Respect.
  • The Fall season begins on the Monday before Labor Day.
  • The Winter season begins on the Monday following Thanksgiving Day.
  • The Spring season begins on the third Monday in March.

Rule 53 Waiver Approved
Rule 53 Waiver Approved by the District E Committee
Worcester Public School students in grade 8 are now allowed to participate in freshman and JV sports and in varsity sports where a sub varsity program doesn’t exist. However, this will not be allowed if the team is a cooperative one. (6/29/10)
